Chapter 87
“I’ve already said–I won’t accept an arranged marriage. I’ll put an end to it.”
Stephen’s tone turned colder, and for a brief moment, a sharp glint flashed in his eyes.
It was obvious that he had nothing but disdain for the idea of a forced engagement.
Sensing his displeasure, Shane quickly backed off from the subject and changed the topic.
“Alright, let’s not talk about your love life. Help me out instead. I don’t want to give up on her just yet. What do you think I should
do?”
For once, his expression was completely serious.
Stephen could tell he wasn’t joking around this time. Dropping his usual sarcasm, he responded in a calm, matter–of–fact tone.
“Gift her something. Women love grand romantic gestures. If you want a real chance, you need to be prepared.”
Shane nodded in agreement, not the least bit bothered by the fact that he was taking relationship advice from a man who had
never been in one himself.
In fact, he thought Stephen made a lot of sense.
“Wait-
A sudden thought struck him, and his eyes lit up with excitement.
He turned to Stephen, practically glowing with anticipation.
“Boss, my great superior, my dear friend–I remember you recently developed a new drone model, right?
“Since romance is key here, what could be more impressive than a nighttime drone light show for a confession? Let me borrow it! If it works out, I’ll make sure to repay you handsomely.”
“I don’t need gifts,” Stephen said, slipping into his signature ruthless businessman mode.
“Just secure another major deal for me this year.”
“Done”
Shane pounded his chest in assurance.
“This weekend it is. I finally found the perfect excuse. I told her you want to meet her. So, everything is set.”
Shane grinned, already planning his next move.
“When the time comes, just chat with her for a bit, then find an excuse to leave. In reality, you’ll be in the next room setting up the drone show and helping me strategize.

“I’m counting on you, boss–this is about my future happiness! If this works, I’ll work for you for another ten years!”
Stephen arched an eyebrow, his expression unreadable. Whether it was the plea or the promise that swayed him remained a
mystery.
“Alright. I’ll do it.”
“That’s my buddy-!”
Shane lunged forward, arms wide open, aiming for a big celebratory hug
But Stephen swiftly dodged, stepping aside just in time.
Straightening his cuffs, he casually announced, “If there’s nothing else, I’m heading out”
He came fast and left even faster–ever the workaholic.
Shane muttered a few complaints in his head, but his mood had already improved significantly.
Now, he could hardly wait for the weekend to arrive.
Meanwhile, Stellar had no idea about any of this.
For the next few days, she was e
completely absorbed in her work.
Finally, the weekend arrived.
Wanting to make a good impression on Brighton Group’s CEO, she left home early in the afternoon.
She even took the time to get an elegant updo for the occasion.
Soft curls framed her cheeks, making her delicate features appear even more refined.
Stellar then changed into the most expensive outfit she had purchased during her last shopping trip–a deep red tailored suit.
She glanced at her reflection in the mirror. The outfit and hairstyle were perfect, but her neck felt a little bare.
Reaching for a gemstone necklace, she fastened it around her neck and finally gave a satisfied nod.
Dressed this formally, she was sure it would reflect just how much she respected Brighton Group’s CEO.
The meeting was scheduled for 7 p.m.
Shane had sent her the location in advance–one of the most prestigious and renowned hotels in the city.
At exactly 6:45 p.m., Stellar arrived at the Howe Grand Hotel.
As soon as she stepped through the doors, the hotel manager was already waiting at the entrance.
