Chapter 146
Stellar stood frozen in place.
It had been a long time since she had felt such a warm embrace, and she wasn’t quite used to it.
She hesitantly raised her arms and gently hugged Martha back.
Even Laurence, a man who spent years on the battlefield, found his eyes misting over.
He stepped forward and placed a firm hand on her shoulder.
“Stellar, welcome home. No one will ever bully you again. This family is your safe harbor.”
“Grandpa…”
A lump formed in Stellar’s throat, and the grievances she had carried for so many years seemed to vanish in an instant, leaving
only warmth in her heart.
They held onto each other for a while until a male voice behind them finally broke the moment, unable to hold back any longer.
“Mom, Dad, alright, alright. The rest of us haven’t even had a chance to say hello to Stellar yet!”
Martha finally let go of her and turned to glare at the speaker. “Brat, you always have so much to say.”
Stellar wiped her reddened eyes and finally noticed the two striking young men standing in the hall.
“Stellar, let me introduce myself. I’m your Uncle Julian, the second eldest among your uncles. I suppose you could say I’m a somewhat well–known director.
“If you ever consider stepping into the entertainment industry, you can always come to me.”
Stellar looked at him in surprise.
She heard of Julian Rivers before–her best friend, Suzy, had mentioned him.
Julian was a true genius in the industry and had already directed multiple blockbuster films before the age of thirty, breaking box office records time and again.
His background was a mystery, and aside from making movies, he never wasted time on interviews or public appearances.
He was notoriously short–tempered, yet no one in the industry dared to cross him.
And now, she found out he was her uncle.
“Uncle Julian, I’ve heard so much about you. A friend of mine is a huge fan. If she knew you were my uncle, she’d be green with envy.”
Stellar’s smile was bright.

“Really? What a coincidence. You should introduce me to your friend next time…”

Julian was enjoying the conversation when the young man beside him cleared his throat, shooting him a mildly disapproving
look.
Julian clicked his tongue but stopped talking, then gestured toward the other man.
“Stellar, this cold–faced guy next to me is your Uncle Adrian, the third one. He works in politics and always carries himself like some big shot. Just ignore him.”
Adrian Rivers shot him an icy glare.
Stellar was stunned.
No wonder she felt that her Adrian had such an imposing presence–it all made sense now.
But Stellar had met all kinds of people before, so she wasn’t intimidated.
“Uncle Adrian, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”
She flashed a bright, warm smile.
Adrian nodded reservedly.
Though he didn’t say much, there was a gentle look in his eyes.
“Welcome home.”
Stellar asked, “Where’s my other uncle?”
“He’s on his way back. No need to worry about him for now. Once he arrives, he’ll have to apologize to you himself,” Claude said with a deliberate air of mystery.
Stellar figured she shouldn’t press for more details.
Now that introductions were done, something suddenly came to mind.
She quickly reached for a nearby gift box.
“Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle Julian, Uncle Adrian–these are gifts I prepared for you.”
She then added, “And there’s one for Uncle Claude too.”
Her gifts consisted of a vintage tea set, an elegant hair clip, a handcrafted wooden chessboard, a silver pendant with intricate engravings, and finely carved cufflinks…
One by one, everyone took their gifts, marveling at the exquisite craftsmanship.
Standing beside her, Mary smiled and chimed in, “Miss Stellar personally made all of these after asking me about your preferences. Each one carries her heartfelt intentions.”

Everyone was even more astonished.
How much hardship had she endured out there to develop such skills and create these by hand?
