Chapter 127
“I think she’s changed. She won’t respond to pressure anymore. You need to show real sincerity if you want even the slightest chance of winning her back.”
“You think I haven’t tried? I’ve bought her flowers, jewelry–everything.
Percy’s glare was sharp as a knife. “Don’t waste my time with useless advice.”
Chris shuddered but forced himself to continue.
“If you’re going to give her something, make sure it actually matters to her. Think about what she used to want and really cared about. You need to hit the mark…”
Percy fell into deep thought.
WEE
His gaze drifted back to Stellar’s side of the room–just in time to see Keith raising his glass at him with a smug, taunting look.
His blood boiled. Grabbing a bottle of liquor, he tilted it back and took a long swig.
He swore that no matter what it took, he would find a way to get Stellar back.
Meanwhile, the alcohol was starting to hit Stellar, warmth creeping up her face as a rosy flush spread across her cheeks.
“I’m done drinking,” she muttered.
At some point, Suzy ended up with a handsome guy by her side, casually draping an arm around his shoulder.
“Stellar, I’m heading out first. Let Keith take you home later.”
After watching them all night, she could tell that Keith was clearly into Stellar.
He probably had a crush on her for a long time.
She wasn’t worried about him hurting her best friend. In fact, she figured she’d just give them some space. 1
With that, she left, disappearing into the crowd with her new companion before Stellar could stop her.
“It’s getting late,” Stellar said, shaking off her tipsiness. “I should head home too.”
Keith’s eyes flickered slightly before he casually offered, “I’ll take you home.”
Stellar didn’t refuse.
After their conversation earlier, she realized Keith might not be as much of a playboy as the rumors suggested.
Though he had a flirtatious air about him, he knew his boundaries and never crossed the line.
As a friend, he actually seemed like a good choice.
Besides, he was Percy’s biggest rival,

On the way back, Stellar rolled down the window, letting the cool night air brush against her face and hair, clearing some of the
haze from the alcohol.
She glanced ahead and suddenly noticed a small unicorn figurine on the dashboard, her eyes lighting up.
“You have this too? I have the exact same one! If I remember right, it’s an exclusive from a brand in the Mayland. I found mine by pure chance when I was traveling a few years ago.”
She couldn’t help but feel a bit nostalgic.
“Quite the coincidence. Do you remember anything interesting from that trip?”
“Something interesting…”
Stellar’s smile faded slightly.
Back then, she had just escaped a horrifying ordeal, having been abducted and trapped in the mountains.
After finally making it out, she was met with nothing but gossip, judgment, and ridicule.
The pressure had been suffocating.
She left the country, both to get away from it all and to help Percy secure a major business deal.
The entire trip felt exhausting, a blur of long flights and sleepless nights.
That unicorn was the only glimmer of light in an otherwise dark time.
“I was there for business,” she said flatly. “Nothing particularly interesting.”
Keith felt a faint sense of disappointment when he realized she had no recollection of anything related to him from her time
abroad.
But he didn’t press the issue.
Before long, the car pulled up in front of her villa.
Keith stepped out first, walking around to open the door for her.
“Thanks.”
As Stellar got out, a wave of dizziness hit her–probably from the drinks–and she swayed slightly.
Keith instinctively reached out to steady her, but before he could, another hand was already there, gripping her arm and shoulder.
