Chapter 106
She knew it.
Those so–called powerful men might indulge in their playthings behind closed doors, but there was no way they’d bring someone like Stellar to a high–profile event filled with elite guests and media reporters.
For all her pride, in the end, Stellar was nothing more than a rich man’s toy.
Stellar arched a brow at Yvonne’s words, a trace of mockery glinting in her eyes.
She exhaled slowly before replying,
“I’m not like you. I don’t fall apart without a man.‘
Yvonne’s face stiffened, but she quickly recovered with a cold sneer. “More like no man wants you.”
Lifting her hand, she flaunted the massive diamond ring on her finger.
“See this, Stellar? Percy picked this out for me himself. It’s hand–designed by the world most prestigious jewelry brand. It’s
worth millions!”
She didn’t stop there.
With an arrogant tilt of her chin, she gestured to her necklace, earrings, and bracelet.
“And these? Each piece was custom–made for me by my parents and uncle.”
Her smirk deepened as she studied Stellar’s face, hungry for a reaction.
“You must be seething right now. It must burn knowing how much they adore me, just as much as they despise you.”
Yvonne straightened, lifting her chin proudly.
“From now on, I’ll be the most valuable daughter in my father’s eyes.”
Then, leaning in slightly, she lowered her voice to a whisper.
“And you? You’ll always be nothing. A worthless, pathetic outcast that no one will ever want.”
Stellar had never been one to back down from a fight.
Her expression turned ice–cold as she met Yvonne’s gaze head–on.
“Do you honestly believe a scheming, deceitful woman who manipulates others into committing crimes could ever be the pride of the Harlow family?”
A sharp pang shot through Yvonne’s chest. Her breath hitched.

“What are you talking about?” she snapped.
Stellar lifted her chin slightly, her voice calm but edged with steel.
“You really thought paying off Camille to frame me, then ordering her to run me down on a motorcycle, would stay buried
forever?“!
Yvonne’s entire body tensed, her expression momentarily cracking.
Her eyes darted around, scanning the crowd, checking if anyone had overheard.
Only w
when she was certain no one was paying attention did she lower her voice.
“You… You’re talking nonsense.”
But the cold glint in Stellar’s eyes was razor–sharp.
“After Camille was arrested, she couldn’t hold out under police interrogation. She confessed everything. How it was your idea from the very beginning.”
She took a slow step closer, her tone chillingly steady.
“It won’t be long before the police summon you for questioning. Have you prepared yourself for that yet?”
This was just a small taste of what was coming.
If Yvonne knew when to back down, things might have ended here.
But, of course, she didn’t.
Her face darkened at Stellar’s words.
How dare that useless, incompetent idiot Camille betray her?
Still, there was no need to panic.
The money she had transferred to Camille hadn’t come from her personal account.
And as for the accusation that she had ordered the motorcycle attack? There was no solid proof.
All she had done was suggest that Camille find a way to stop Stellar from entering the lab.
She had never explicitly told her to resort to violence,
No matter how things played out, they wouldn’t be able to pin that crime on her.
With that reassurance, she steadied herself.
Her gaze flickered back to Stellar, a venomous glint flashing in her eyes.
“Stellar, I have no idea what nonsense you’re spewing. I don’t even know what you’re talking about. But from the looks of it,
Chapter
you’re just here to sabotage my engagement, aren’t you?”
She smirked.
“Fine. Let’s see whose side people take when this is over.”
Stellar’s eyes narrowed slightly.

A reflexive sense of caution made her take half a step back but before she could fully react, Yvonne suddenly twisted her wrist,
deliberately spilling red wine all over herself.
The dark liquid soaked into her expensive dress, and she let out a dramatic gasp, stumbling backward just enough to draw the
attention of the nearby guests.
n tant, all eyes turned to them.
eyes reddened, her face full of grievance as she stared at Stellar with feigned helplessness.
know that what happened to you back then–getting abducted and violated–has been a wound you can’t heal from. I
derstand your pain, I do….
‘But that had nothing to do with me or the Harlow family! You can’t take it out on me by ruining my
engagement!”
