Chapter 103
Stellar had no idea what Lilian was about to say.
Her fingers curled slightly at her sides.
Then, in the next second, Lilian threw her arms around her.
“Stellar, you’ve been through so much… it must have been so hard for you.”
“I saw the news yesterday. I think you’re incredibly brave. Escaping from human traffickers is not something just anyone cant
do.”
Stellar froze, momentarily caught off guard.
Was Lilian worried about her?
A strange warmth welled up in her chest, and her eyes stung for a moment.
“I’m fine… it’s all in the past now.”
Lilian straightened, studying her face carefully.
Only after confirming she wasn’t just putting on a strong front did she finally breathe a sigh of relief.
She read enough horror stories about women being trafficked to remote towns–places so isolated that even climbing a mountain
would take hours.
To escape from something like that, it took more than just intelligence and quick thinking.
It required resilience, an unshakable will to survive.
Even Nathan, who usually stayed out of conversations, stepped forward and said, “I saw the news too. None of that was your
fault.”
Simon nodded in agreement. “Yeah, ever since people at school found out, a lot of them have been supporting you, even
don’t see it.”
If you
There was no judgment and disdain, just kindness and sincerity.
A flicker of light flashed in Stellar’s eyes, and the darkness she had been carrying in her heart slowly lifted.
“Thank you,” she said softly.
“No need to thank us! Now, let’s get to the lab!”
Lilian grinned, looping her arm through Stellar’s as they walked inside.
That evening, as usual, Stellar planned to take a cab home.

What she didn’t expect was to run into Yvonne again at the school gates.
The moment she stepped outside, Yvonne crossed her arms and stormed toward her, closing the distance in just a few quick
strides.
‘Stellar, stop right there!”
Stellar glanced at her, unfazed.
Her tone was calm, almost indifferent.
“Didn’t learn your lesson yesterday? Back for more?”
Yvonne’s expression stiffened at the mention of yesterday, but whatever thought crossed her mind next must have been a good
one, because she suddenly smiled.
“Sis, why so hostile? I’m not here to argue today. I actually came to bring you something.”
With a smug air, she pulled a gilded invitation from her bag and held it out
“This is the invitation to my engagement party with Percy,” she announced, practically glowing with pride.
“I sincerely invite you to witness our big day in two weeks.”
Her voice dripped with mock generosity, but her next words carried the real sting.
“All the most powerful and influential people in the city will be there. It’s a great opportunity for networking. Who knows, you
might even find yourself a new sugar daddy.”
By the end of her speech, her mask of politeness had completely slipped, replaced with undisguised arrogance.
She was waiting for Stellar to crack, to show even a flicker of pain or humiliation
After all, wasn’t marrying Percy the dream Stellar had chased for years?
Her visit today served two purposes–first, to flaunt her victory, and second, to probe Stellar about yesterday’s incident, to see if she really knew anything.
But before Yvonne could even piece together the right words, Stellar casually reached out, took the invitation, and flipped it open
without a trace of emotion..
“Alright,” she said, completely unbothered.
“I’ll be there. And I’ll even prepare a little surprise for you both.”
Her words carried an unmistakable undertone.
Yvonne’s stomach dropped.
“What are you planning? I’m warning you–don’t try anything stupid. Dad, Uncle, and all our family will be there. If you cause

trouble, you won’t get away with it!”
Stellar tilted her head slightly, as if genuinely puzzled.
“What are you afraid of? I just said it’s a surprise. Or… are you just feeling guilty about something?”
“You-”
Yvonne clenched her jaw, her irritation barely contained.
“Anyway, I just came to deliver the invitation. As long as you show up, that’s all that matters. I have nothing else to say, so I’ll be leaving now!”
With that, Yvonne spun on her heel and walked away.
Stellar watched her retreating figure, then glanced at the time, a thoughtful glint flickering in her eyes.
There were two weeks left. She had to prepare.
Time passed quickly, and soon, the day of the engagement party arrived.
Despite her efforts over the past few days, Stellar had yet to find concrete evidence proving Yvonne’s involvement in her abduction.
However, she had uncovered something just as important.
