Chapter 3
I returned the call, and the other side answered immediately.
“Finally decided to pick up?”
Isaac’s voice was deep and cold, laced with restrained annoyance. The same voice I remembered from that night in bed.
There was no mistaking it, it was Isaac.
“Take down the Instagram post. Let’s meet and discuss this. It can’t continue… it’s damaging for everyone’s reputation.”
I cut straight to the chase. After all, this situation wasn’t helping anyone.
He paused briefly, then agreed. “Fine.”
We arranged to meet at a hotel.
Isaac had cleverly chosen the same room where we had spent that night. together.
I wasn’t sure of his reasoning, but I went along with it.
As I swiped the keycard to enter, I was taken aback.
The room was empty, yet all the furnishings were exactly as they had been..
The room looked just as it had when I left it.
The condom wrapper from that night still lay in the trash can, and the crisp 100 dollars remained spread out on the nightstand.

I felt a slight twitch at the corner of my mouth. Why keep all this?
Was it meant to be proof against me if I ever denied what happened?
The event was over–wouldn’t these reminders only irritate him further?
As I considered this, the noise of running water from the bathroom broke my train of thought.
Isaac was taking a shower?
I purposely closed the door with a loud bang to announce my return.
A minute ticked by, and the silence grew intense and unnerving. What was happening here? Was this a display of cold aggression?
But knowing I wasn’t in the right, I didn’t dare to urge him on. I simply sat quietly on the couch and waited.
Then, I noticed the bathroom’s frosted glass was somewhat see–through…
I could vaguely make out the outline of his well–toned, impressive physique. He certainly lived up to his “pretty boy” reputation. My judgment was impeccable.
As I admired the view, the water stopped running. Isaac emerged- completely naked!
I was shocked. Wasn’t Isaac known as the “ascetic CEO“? This contradicted all the rumors.
Why was he coming out like this?
He was entirely exposed in front of me. My face flushed with heat, and I quickly turned away, covering my eyes with my hands. Did it just seem… big?

Chapter 3
“What are you hiding for? It’s nothing new to you,” Isaac laughed quietly, tossing a bath towel beside me with a mocking tone.
“Let’s have a proper conversation–put the towel on first!”
My heart raced wildly, and I felt a fiery heat spread through my body. His perfect, untouchable image was crumbling before my eyes.
“Oh? You weren’t so modest the other night in bed. What, just a few days have passed, and now you’re acting all proper?
J’I thought you were the type to disappear after a one–night stand.”
When I bashfully avoided his eyes, Isaac moved directly in front of me, gripping my chin with his long fingers to make me drop my hands and meet his gaze.
His tone was playful, but his expression was icy. Deep down, I felt he was
angry.
“Let’s discuss this calmly. I can explain.”
My chin throbbed from his grasp, so I softened my voice and squeezed out some tears, trying to look pitiful.
As expected, the moment he saw me cry, his eyes darkened, and he let go.
“Why are you crying? To an outsider, it might look like you just got dumped.”
Did I really hear him correctly? Was there a trace of bitterness hidden beneath his anger?
Isaac wasn’t usually such a jerk–he had even dressed up, wearing the very suit I had helped him out of that night.
“What? Don’t you like it?”
Chapter 3
Noticing my discomfort, Isaac sneered.
“What do you want from me? You actually responsibility?”

I lowered my head, silently cursing the arrogant tyrant. Hadn’t I already
given him money? Why was he still being a nuisance?
Then it dawned on me–hold on. Could he actually be the baby’s biological father?
