Lizzie and Emery went to Redstar Factory together.
Emery greeted the doorman and pushed Lizzie inside.
As they entered the production area, the air was filled with a unique metallic scent and a faint smell of machine oil.
Workers in blue workwear were busy moving between machines. The noise of the machines was loud.
Emery was a tier–6 worker, the highest rank at Redstar Factory. As he entered, other workers warmly greeted him.
“Good morning, Mr. Trevino.”
“Mr. Trevino, you come so early today.”
“Who is this?”
The workers‘ gazes fell curiously on Lizzie and the wheelchair she was in.
Emery stopped, smiling back at the workers.

Then, he pointed to Lizzie and introduced her, “This is my niece, Lizzie Trevino. She’s here to visit.”
He didn’t directly say that Lizzie came to check the machines. If Lizzie couldn’t fix them, he didn’t want to put pres-
sure on her.
Seeing that Lizzie was Emery’s family, others didn’t ask further.
They thought maybe there was no one at home to take care of her, so Emery brought her along. Some workers would bring their children to the workplace if no one else was at home. It was common in factories.
After the others left, Emery pushed Lizzie’s wheelchair through the bustling workshop, straight to the corner, in front of two large machines.
“These are the two machines. I’ll go talk to the factory manager. Wait here for me,” Emery told Lizzie before leaving.
Lizzie nodded, then looked at the tarp–covered large machines.
The two machines were covered with thick tarps. She could only see their great size, taking up quite a bit of space.
Then, Lizzie maneuvered her wheelchair, bringing herself closer to the machines, then propped herself up with the wheelchair, slowly standing up.
It was a corner in the workshop, and the surrounding machinery hid her from the view of others, so no one noticed her
actions.
No one could expect that a woman in a wheelchair would suddenly stand up.

Lizzie reached out, gently lifting a corner of the tarp, and slipped inside.
The tarp fell again, completely covering her figure.
From the outside, the two machines were still covered by the tarp, showing no change.
It seemed as usual.

The control panel was filled with various buttons, gauges, and indicator lights. All the signs were in foreign letters.

Raymond was persuaded by Emery’s words.
After a while, Emery and Raymond arrived at the workshop together.
After the two foreign experts left, the two machines didn’t work for several days. If this situation continued, the facto- ry’s losses would be significant.
If Lizzie could really solve the problem, that would be a great help to them.
The two quickly arrived at the workshop.
However, when they approached the two machines, Emery was stunned.
Lizzie, who was supposed to be waiting there, disappeared!
Only the wheelchair was left alone.
“Where is she?”
Raymond frowned, looking around, but there was no sign of Lizzie.

It was Arnold McLean, the only other tier–6 worker at Redstar Factory, who never got along well with Emery.
The two often argued over technical issues, and their relationship was always strained.
Emery mentioned to the workers in the factory so many times that his niece was outstanding, and her boyfriend was a professor.
The factory’s machines just had a problem, and he brought his niece here, apparently trying to fix them.
They were both tier–6 worker. Now, if Emery’s niece fixed the machines, others would think Emery was better than Arnold.
Therefore, as soon as Arnold knew Lizzie was missing, he immediately questioned.
“She’s just a young girl. What does she know about machinery? Do you really expect her to fix those two machines? Don’t be so ridiculous!” Arnold spoke sarcastically, his face full of disdain.
Emery’s face turned dark with anger.
He ignored Arnold’s sarcasm. The most important thing now was to find Lizzie.
“Lizzie! Lizzie!”
There were many machines around, and Lizzie’s movements were inconvenient. She might get hurt.
Emery, Raymond, and other workers were still searching everywhere. No one noticed that the tarp covering one ma- chine seemed to move slightly.
Just when everyone was anxious, a faint voice came from a machine.
“Emery, I’m here…”
The voice was very faint and was almost drowned out by the noise of the machines and people’s shouting. It was hard to be heard.
But Emery heard it. He quickly turned his head and looked at the two machines covered tightly with the tarp.
He wasn’t sure, so he walked back, listening carefully, and saw that one of the tarps moved slightly.
Emery’s heart tightened, and he rushed over, pulling the tarp.
Others saw this and realized that Emery’s niece was in the machine.
They didn’t know that Lizzie came specifically to fix it. Seeing her go in, they became nervous immediately.
“Girl, how did you get in there?! This is not a place for fun, and with your leg condition, you might fall! It’s danger-
ous.”
As they spoke, they pulled the tarp down to help Lizzie get out.
