Kevin had never negotiated a price before, and seeing Jessic’s performance made him feel very
fresh.
Especially when seeing the boss reluctantly part with something he treasures, Jessie wears a triumphant smirk as if she’s claimed a trophy. He couldn’t help but want to laugh.
Kevin helped her load everything into the car. “Is there anything else you need to buy?”
He noticed that Jessie had only been using her own card to pay.
“A microwave,” Jessie said as she sat in the car, “and some miscellaneous things. I’ll come back later to buy them myself, so you don’t have to accompany me.”
Kevin nodded before saying, “I’ve already bought a microwave; someone should be coming over to install it now.”
“You bought it?” Jessie was somewhat surprised.
She had just mentioned wanting to buy a microwave yesterday, and she didn’t expect Kevin to have already bought it today.
“Didn’t you say you wanted one? It’ll make cooking easier too,” Kevin said as he started the car.
Jessie nodded, suddenly realizing that her husband also had a caring side.
“Shall I drive you to the store?” Kevin asked.
It was on the way anyway.
Jessic shook her head and buckled her seatbelt. “No need, just drop me back first. I haven’t told my mom about the meeting yet. I’ll tell her on the way to work”
Once they finally met, her mother would be able to feel at ease. As for her grandmother’s side of the family, ever since her father passed away and they began looking down on them for being poor, they had never shown any desire to contact them.
Jessie didn’t mind; she didn’t want anything to do with those people anyway, and she had never considered them her family.

When they arrived at home, Jessie rolled up her sleeves, ready to haul everything upstairs. But just as she was about to ask Kevin for help, she noticed him heading off to find the community property manager, arranging for them to handle the move..
Everyone was given a generous tip, and while Jessie saw everything, she kept her thoughts to herself. After all, it was
money, and she was merely his wife in name; being too
concerned wouldn’t be good.
Even though they had bought a lot of things, the house was too big. Once everything was moved in, it still felt empty.
Jessie stood with her hands on her hips, looking at the area of the living room that needed planning. Kevin saw her lost in thought and asked curiously, “What are you thinking? How to decorate the living room?”
Jessic nodded, pointing to the empty areas, and then looked at Kevin.
“Don’t you think our house is too empty? It doesn’t look like a home, it’s more like a cold iron box.
Jessie frowned, surveying the surroundings.
Originally, Kevin didn’t think much of it, but after Jessie’s comment, he also felt that the house was too spacious, not at all like a newlywed couple’s home.
Though he hadn’t given it much thought at first, after spending some time together with Jennie -watching her light up as she planned the decorations–his heart also underwent some changes.
“It’s okay, I’ll buy some furniture and decorations later, and then you can put them together however you like, Kevin suggested.
Jessie was about to agree, but then she thought of something and looked at Kevin suspiciously. “Aren’t you supposed to be going to work today? Won’t you get scolded for being late?”
Kevin shook his head. “Don’t worry about me, I can afford to be late. We’re not that busy at work today.”
With those words, Jessie nodded thoughtfully. Kevin was indeed favored by his boss–invited to exclusive events and showered with perks.
“Go find your mom first, I’ll go buy them later.”
“Okay, Jessie responded. She brought out her bank card from her pocket and handed it to Kevin. “Use this card to pay for the pieces of furniture later
Kevin looked down and saw that Jesse was giving him her own card.

He shook his head, a bit displeased. “Didn’t I give you my salary card before? Why didn’t you use it to pay? You covered everything again today. I’ve told you before–this home belongs to both of us. I want to contribute too. You don’t have to shoulder it all.”
If word got out that the powerful President Harper was using his wife’s money, it wouldn’t. sound good and he would be laughed at.
Seeing his expression, Jessie immediately thought of a phrase–a man’s pride.

Seeing this, Jessie chose to appease her husband first.
“Alright, alright. Didn’t you buy this house with your own money? I also want to contribute a little more myself.”
Kevin’s expression softened a bit with Jessie’s explanation.

Today, after shopping all day, he had noticed that Jessie liked brightly colored decorations with clean, simple designs.
