Now, Reynold was mocking Catherine’s past actions.

About half an hour later, they arrived at the Parkers old mansion. As they were entering. Catherine ran into Cindy Parker, who was just walking out.
Cindy, the daughter of the Parkers second branch, shared a close bond with Evelyn
As soon as she saw Catherine, her face twisted with disdain ‘Catherine. Reynold doesn’t like you. Are you trying to win over Grandma again? She’s the only one in this family who bothers to care about you! Do you even see yourself? You’re just a country bumpkin standing in for Evelyn when she’s not around. Do you truly think you’ll be his wife forever? You should just get a divorce now.”
Catherine had grown used to this kind of treatment Reynold’s family, like his friends, never accepted her. Without a word, she ignored Cindy’s remarks and walked straight into the mansion
Melinda Berry, with her full Bead of gray hair, greeted Catherine warmly, taking her hand. “Cath, you haven’t visited me in a while. Don’t you miss me?
Reynold’s grandmother was the only person in the Parkers who truly cared for Catherine. Her kind affection was the only warmth Catherine had received.
Catherine smiled and gently embraced her. ‘Grandma, of course, I miss you.”
Melinda’s face lit up with happiness
Just then, Reynold entered the room
Catherine released her hold on Melinda and said. ‘Grandma you haven’t had your herbal meal for a few days. Let me prepare it for you”
She made her way to the kitchen.
Reynold sat beside Melinda and greeted her, ‘Grandma‘
Melinda glanced at Catherine, who was busy in the kitchen, and asked, “Reynold, did you and Cath fight?”
Reynold didn’t want to upset Melinda, who wasn’t in the best health, so he answered. “No.”
Then why did Cath go into the kitchen when she saw you? She’s never done that before.”
“Reynold, don’t let Evelyn cloud your judgment. When you were in a vegetative state three years ago, Evelyn immediately left for abroad. It was Cath who married you and took care of you
“During those years, she not only cared for you but also came here to take care of me, preparing herbal meals for me. Without her, our family would have fallen apart by now?
Melinda paused, her face serious. I can judge people correctly. Cath is a good woman, loyal to you. Don’t let her down. Once she’s had enough, she’ll leave, and she won’t come back. Don’t wait until you lose her to regret it”
Reynold’s gaze lingered on Catherine in the kitchen. Her long black hair was tied into a low ponytail, highlighting her graceful neck and undeniable beauty.
The farmitar scent of the herbal meal she was preparing filled the air–bittersweet, yet comforting. Reynold remembered all the meals she had made for him when he was in a vegetative state.
Even though he couldn’t move, his mind was clear, and he knew someone had been by his side all along.
She had soft hands, ones that had once touched every part of his body.
At that time, he thought it was Evelyn. But when he opened his eyes, the woman had introduced herself as Catherine.
Melinda invited both Reynold and Catherine to stay the night at the mansion, and they had no choice but to agree.

Chapter 22 Don’t Let Her Down
Reynold entered the room, while Catherine, her back to him, was writing something with a pen.
As she checked her phone, a voice message from her friend Laura popped up.

“Hey Cath, I heard you’re about to get a divorce. Don’t waste your time playing nanny. Come out with me. I’ve set up a blind date for you.”
Reynold’s expression darkened as he unbuttoned his shirt.
Laura sent several follow–up messages, each accompanied by a voice note. The messages played aloud in the room.
“Cath, check out this guy with eight–pack abs. Do you like him? You could rest on those abs in the future.”
“How about this one–a shy, obedient boy? He looks like he’d be fun.”
“Or this one–the cool business elite with gold–rimmed glasses? Want me to set up a date with him?”
“Cath, these guys are the best. Pick whoever you want.”
Reynold’s lips tightened. He just discovered that Catherine had plenty of handsome men at her disposal.
At that moment, she responded with a voice message, “Okay, I’ll be there soon.”
When she turned around, she saw Reynold standing behind her. She handed him the piece of paper.
“Mr. Parker, this is Grandma’s herbal meal formula. It needs to be boiled on high heat for an hour on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. She should take it while it’s still hot.”
Reynold glanced at the paper, realizing it was the formula she had been writing. The page was filled with her neat handwriting and the names of various herbs.
He asked her, “Do you know about medicine?”
Catherine casually answered, “I know a little.”
He didn’t take the paper. “I’ll have a doctor look at this formula, just to be sure.”
