Chapter9
As we talked, and looked at the photos. We came across one photo. One photo that just brings bad memories. “This is the place where I want to go and see Aunty.” Nathan said to me as he pointed a the photo.
I looked at him and gave him a strained smile. “Yea?”
He nodded his little head excitedly. “Yea! Daddy said that this place is so scary but has many secrets to it. !”
Dark Secrets.
“Daddy said that he would take me there! I hope it is soon though!” Nathan then added. I froze, I can already feel the puke slowly making its way up but I kept it down.
I looked at Nathan and nodded my head before I closed the album. I couldn’t look at the photo without having the urge to vomit. Before I knew it, little Nathan ran away from me and up the stairs. I didn’t know why, but as soon as i looked over I noticed that it was Jayden who told him to go upstairs.
Staring at Jayden as he slowly made his way over into the opposite couch, he sat down and without a word he simply watched me. Let me tell you something, it was really unnerving when he began to do that. I stared back at him, I didn’t want him to have the satisfaction that I was scared.
I noticed that Jayden began to eye the album that was sitting in front of me. I looked at it and then back at him. “I see Nathan showed you some photos.” Jayden said, probably trying to ease the tension that was already beginning to form in the air.
I nodded my head slightly, and then I looked at Jayden. “Yes he did… and he did show me one particular photo.” I said before reaching inside the album and taking the photo out.
I threw it across the table for him to see, and I was pleased about his reaction. His yees widened and he slowly looked up at me before he moved the photo back into the album.
“Promise,.” He started off but I cut him before he could finish. “WHAT LIES DID YOU TELL YOUR SON ABOUT THAT HORRID PLACE?!?” I whispered yelled at him. He flinched and looked down at his lap.
“I just told him that the cave had some very cool rocks and that there was a lake in there that glows at night.” He whispered back to me.
I shook my head. “It doesn’t matter that you told your son about the wonderful stuff in that place. But what matters is that you and probably everyone else in this disgusting pack are trying to hide the truth of what took place in that cave.” I said to him as I can already feel the memories from that night forcing its way back into my mind. I closed my eyes and let out a shaky breath.
“I know… but you have to know Promise. The pack we aren’t trying to hide what happened.” He said. I opened my eyes and stared at him. I shook my head.
“Then how come you all act as if nothing took place.” I said. I waited for him to talk and try to convince me that they were not acting at all, and yet there was no words tumbling out of his mouth. “See… you all are hiding the truth.” I said before turning around
I felt him grab my arm, causing me to spin around and tug it away from his grasp. “Don.t Touch. Me!” I spat at him.
He dropped his hand and looked at me. “Promise listen to me… what happened is in the past! We can start –” A loud slap echoed throughout the house. My hand was burning and throbbing from how hard I slapped him. his head was now facing the left. There was no sound being spoken until I exploded at him. “HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT NOTHING HAPPENED! THAT WE CAN START NEW? WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THAT I WANT TO RE–START OUR RELATIONSHIP AND JUST FORGET ABOUT YOU AND EVERYONE ELSE HAD DONE TO ME! ESPECIALLY YOU AND YOUR GANG OF FRIENDS!” I screamed at him. I didn’t know that we had guests enter the house but that didn’t stop me from letting out all my anger and pain at him.
“Promi-” I can hear Evan trying to call my name but I ended up cutting him off.
“YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO PROTECT ME! YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO HAVE MY BACK! BUT YOU DIDN’T! YOU ALLOWED YOUR FRIENDS TO RAPE ME IN THAT FUCKING HORRIBLE CAVE! ALL YOU DID WHEN I WAS SCREAMING YOUR NAME TO HELP ME WAS JUST LAUGH AND TELL THEM TO GO HARDER! AFTER IT WAS DONE… I THOUGHT THAT YOU WOULD TAKE ME HOME AND APOLOGIZE FOR YOUR ACTIONS, BUT NO I DIDN’T GET THAT. YOU ALL LEFT ME THERE TO DIE SLOWLY.” I yelled as the tears were finally falling down my pale cheeks. After I said that, no one dared to move or say anything. Turning my head towards the front door, I noticed that Xavier, Evan, Mark, my so called parents, along with Jayden’s mate was standing at the door.
Some held pain and anguish in their eyes, while the other were just shocked. I let out a tiny sob as I stared at them. “You guys were suppose to protect me… but all you did was hurt me even more…” I said. I felt like it was aimed more towards my parents, and then my eyes moved over to Xavier who looked like he wanted to kill himself, as well as murder people. “You’re not mate material… If you were you would’ve protected me and not allowed the other boys to touch me and do unspeakable things. But you didn’t care… alll you cared about was your fucking reputation. Is that why you joined in with them? To not have your face ruined?” I said to him.
