Chapter 14
Rhea’s POV
“Rhea, are you okay? Your face looks red, do you need to rest up a bit before we leave?” Ginny questioned, she loo very
concerned for me.
“You feel it already, babe? C’mere, I’ll help you cool down.” His hand reached out toward me, but I stood up quickly, pretending
to wobble a little as I smoothed down my dress.
“Kevin, what should we do? My sister doesn’t look well, I think we’ll have to pay for a room for her to rest up until we leave. You
said you wanted to drink a lot, so…” Ginny trailed off, biting her lips.
“I… I think I need some air.” I said breathily, pressing a hand to my forehead, “Maybe I’ll go and pay for a room and rest for a
while. Ginny, could you watch Kevin for me?”
Ginny glanced up, “Are you sure?” She muttered and mouthed ‘Room 6‘ to me.
“Yeah I am. I’ll see you later.” Feigning a dizzy stumble, I turned and headed toward the back hallway, going towards the staff
office. I knocked twice on the door before hearing a ‘enter‘. Once I did, I took out money from my purse and placed it gently on
the table.
“Miss Rhea.” The woman sitting at the table greeted, her eyes glittering excitedly when she saw the money on the table.
“You remember what I asked you to do earlier? Make sure my sister and Kevin are inside the same room, place cameras there as
well.” I directed. The woman took the money and stuffed it into her bag.
“I understand Miss Rhea, I’ll do as you say.”
“Good.” I nodded, making my way out of the door. I had called the manager of the club a few hours before I came. I was already
well known due to the amount of drinks I used to pay for so seeing her wasn’t a problem.
“But, Miss Rhea… What if something goes wrong?”
“Then you make sure nothing goes wrong. Send the footage to the phone later, make sure it’s not missing or else, something could really go wrong with you here. Understood?”
“Of… Of course.”
“I have one more question to ask. The person in Room 619, who is he?”
That was the room I had ended up in my past life, and it was in a VIP section. Though I had no idea how the hell I was able to leave
the normal room section and end up in the VIP section.
“R… Room 619? Ah… The owner of the room never left his name to us, it’s only the owner of the club that knows who he is.”
“Then how come he’s able to check in everytime?”

“That room has been paid for permanently, so he can check in at any time even without coming to us.”
“I see…” I sighed, “How much do I have to pay to get Room 618 all to myself for tonight?”
I left the office a few minutes later with the keycard of Room 618 in my hands, my heels clicking softly agains my way down the hallway. I had spent a fortune getting the keycard but it would be worth it if I could see the, room. I had to know. I needed to know who it was that night.

or as I made
inside that
I walked towards the VIP section of the club, opening the huge doors. It was a while different vibe in here but it wasn’t what I came to see. Ignoring the few catcalls I got, I made me way straight to where the rooms where, my heels padding softly along the hallway. A few seconds after, I stood in front of Room 618, and across of it, was 619. Reaching the door, I paused, my hand hovering over the handle. The bass of the music pounded in my ears, but beneath it, I swore I could hear something else, faint voices but it wasn’t coming from inside.
“Phew.” I took a deep breath to calm myself and then I twisted the knob quietly and pushed the door open just a crack. Before I could even register what was inside, a strong arm shot out of the darkness, yanked me forward, and slammed the door shut
behind me.
A large hand clamped over my mouth, muffling my gasp.
“Shut up.” A low, velvety voice hissed into my ear.
I froze, my pulse thundering. The voice… it was familiar. Achingly familiar. But I couldn’t place it.
His body was solid behind mine, his scent clean and sharp, a stark contrast to the stench of the club. I stood rigid in his grasp, too
stunned to move as he pressed me against the wall, keeping us both hidden in the dark.
Then I heard it, a faint rustle, like someone shifting around near the far side of the room. I strained to listen.
“…he’s already poisoned.” A voice said, hushed but clear, “It’s only a matter of time before he dies. Let’s just leave him here, his
body will be collected tomorrow.”
I stiffened instantly.
Who were they talking about?
I heard another low murmur, too soft to catch, and then footsteps retreating, fading away into the hall. The man holding me
stayed still for a beat longer, listening, before finally, carefully, peeling his hand away from my mouth. I spun around to face him,
but the room was too dark, so I couldn’t see anything.
“Who are you? Why are you here?” The man questioned and I didn’t notice it before, but he was breathing very heavily.
“You’re poisoned.” I muttered, ignoring his question, “What kind?”
The man was quiet for a second before huffing, “It’s an aphrodisiac, not poison.”
“An aphrodisiac?” I repeated.

Was that why he slept with me in my past life?
“Who are you?”
“I should be the one asking you that question.”
I hesitated, trying to make out his features in the suffocating darkness. His breathing grew heavier, almost s. staggered forward slightly.

_d, and he
“Hey, wait…” I reached out instinctively to steady him, but before I could react properly, he collapsed against me, his full weight crashing into my body.
The sudden force made me stumble back, my heel slipping on the carpeted floor. My hand flailed against the wall, desperately searching for balance, and my fingers accidentally hit a switch.
Click!
The lights snapped on, flooding the room with a harsh, blinding brightness.
We fell together onto the plush carpeted floor, a tangled heap of limbs. I gasped, my heart hammering painfully against my ribs
as I scrambled up to look at him and froze.
No.
No way.
The handsome man lying on top of me, disoriented, his brows furrowed slightly in confusion, was someone I thought I’d never
see again up close like this.
Alaric Vale! It was him?!
