Chapter 10
Ginny.
I inhaled sharply, forcing down the urge to scream.
“What?” I snapped, not bothering to soften the edge in my tone.
“I have a plan.” She said quickly, as though afraid I’d shut her out before she could finish, “A plan for Kevin to like you.
Completely.”

“Rhea… I… I just wanted to tell you that I thought of a plan to make Kevin completely yours, I’m sure that this t work.” She said softly, as if afraid that I would reject her.
‘s going to
At first, my lips parted, ready to hurl the sharpest insult I could muster. I wanted to tell her to go to hell, to take her plan and stuff it in the same black hole she threw her conscience into.
But then I paused.
A plan? For Kevin?
was
I tilted my head slightly, curiosity slithering in through the cracks of my anger. If Ginny scheming again, I wanted to know exactly what game she thought she was playing, especially if I was the one she intended to use.
I took a breath, hiding my curiosity, “Fine.” I said, voice tight, “Come in.”
The door creaked open, and Ginny stepped in hesitantly, wearing that fake–wounded expression she’d mastered so well. The one that screamed I’m the victim here, even when her claws were still dripping with blood.
She took a single step inside and crossed her arms, “Rhea… Back there with mom and Jason… You… You didn’t have to yell at me or them like that.” She said, her voice trembling ever so slightly, eyes glassy with tears she hadn’t cried, “I know you’re upset, but
you said awful things to me, Rhea. You said you didn’t care if I slept with Kevin…”
I stared at her, expression unreadable. Then, after a long pause, I sighed and let my shoulders slump slightly.
“You’re right.” I said, voice softer now, careful, rehearsed, “I was out of line.”
Ginny blinked, clearly not expecting that.
“I’ve just… been so worked up lately. Everything feels like it’s falling apart. I’ve been lashing out, saying things I don’t mean.” I looked away, biting my lip, “I shouldn’t have said that about you. Or Kevin. Or even mom and Jason. I’m sorry. Can you forgive me?”
Ginny beamed, just like I knew she would.
She rushed forward, wrapping her arms around me in a sudden hug, clinging like she was desperate to believe this fragile peace.
“I forgive you.” She said sweetly, squeezing me tightly, “I know it’s been hard for you. But I really do want to help. That’s why I
came here. I want to fix things between you and Kevin.”
I pulled away slowly, forcing a grateful smile, “I appreciate that.” I murmured.
“Okay.” She chirped, bouncing a little with excitement, “So… hear me out. Here’s the plan.”
She leaned in, lowering her voice like we were conspiring over a big secret, which we were, just not in the way she thought.

“You’re going to take Kevin to the club he likes. The one on Cross Street. He goes there all the time, especially on weekends. You’ll make it look like a spontaneous outing, just the two of you.”
I raised a brow, “And then?”
“Then you’ll pay for the drinks, get him relaxed, flirty, you know? Laugh at his dumb jokes, touch his arm a little, She giggled, “Men eat that up. And then…”
Her eyes sparkled, and for a moment, she looked a little too thrilled.
“…you slip this into his drink.” She pulled a tiny bottle from her pocket, “It’s an aphrodisiac. Just a little drop, nothing too obvious. Once it kicks in, you help him to a room upstairs. They have those private lounges, remember? Dim lights, cozy
couches.”
I stared at the bottle in her hand, the sickly pink liquid catching the light.
“And then what, Ginny?” I asked coolly.
s ego.‘
She smiled, completely oblivious to the disgust curling in my gut, “Then you sleep with him. Obviously. Once that happens, Kevin will have no choice but to stay with you. He’ll feel responsible, maybe even fall for you, men always do when they think they were the one to take something.”
She looked proud of herself. Like she’d just discovered the cure for heartbreak.
I was quiet for a beat too long. What happened months before I got to Kevin was actually happening now? I stared at Ginny for a millisecond and then lowered my head so she wouldn’t see my expression. In the past, Ginny had actually suggested this to me. She had told me the name of the bar, and had even given me this aphrodisiac and told me to slip it into his drink. However, Kevin
and I shared the drink because Ginny asked us to and then afterwards, she told me the room number to go to but it turned out,
Kevin wasn’t the one inside the room. It was someone else… Kevin had actually gone back home while I slept with someone else.
Thinking of it, I didn’t know who I slept with until date but thankfully, I was able to leave the room before anyone arrived so there weren’t any rumors. If she still wanted to do the same thing…
“You okay?” Ginny asked, tilting her head and removing me from my thoughts.
I nodded slowly, “Yeah. Just… surprised.”
“By what?”
“That you’re willing to go this far for me.”
Her smile stretched wider, “Of course. You’re my sister.”
My sister. The same girl who watched me rot in silence while she wore my mother’s praise like a crown.
But I nodded, playing along, “Thank you. Really. I’ll do it.”
“Good.” She clapped her hands and turned toward the door, “I’ll text you Kevin’s club schedule. Don’t make any mistake, Rhea.

This is your shot to make Kevin like you once and for all.”
As soon as the door shut behind her, I leaned against it, taking a slow and deep breath.

Oh, I’d play her little game. But she had no idea the script had already changed. If Kevin thought he could toy with me… and Ginny thought she could use me like a pawn… Then they were both in for a very rude awakening.
