“And who’s he?” I pointed to blue eyes swiveling in Aiden’s chair.
“I’m Cody.” Blue eyes replied as he came to join the rest of the group. That’s why he looked familiar.
He sits with Aiden in Calculus.
“And what are you two doing here?” I asked Caroline and Brooke. These two were spending an
awful lot of time with Lucas lately.
“Lucas invited us.” Brooke smirked. “Didn’t he Caroline?”
“Yup.” Caroline blushed, rocking on her heels.
“Right.” Was all I managed to reply.
“Now that Scarlett is awake, it’s time for the real fun to begin.” Lucas smirked as he walked over to
Aiden’s desk and grabbed some papers and began hånding them out to all of us.
- Sit in your drive way for 5 min in nothing but your boxers/undergarments and wave to your
neighbors.
- Dance like a cowboy.
- Convince a movie theater full of people to evacuate.
- Call a Chinese restaurant and order a pizza.
- Streak naked across the football–field.
- Put on someone else’s bra.
- Embarrassing selfie.
- Call your last contact and try to sell them lubricant.
- Eat 10 Oreo cookies that are filled with mayo.

- Call Macy’s and pretend to be having sex.
- Dig through the trash and name everything you find.
- Take a plate of leftovers over to your neighbor, knock on their door, and say, “Welcome to the neighborhood” as if you’d never met them before.
- Wear your underwear over your pants for the rest of the evening.
- Post a Snapchat of you pretending to cry because you just found out you were adopted.
“What the hell is this?” I asked scanning the piece of paper. Streak naked across the football field?
What the fuck was this, a teenage boy’s dream.
“Patience, grasshopper.” Lucas raised a hand motioning for me to wait. “Ladies and gentlemen that
which is in front of you is a list of dares. We’ll play boys versus girls. The rules are simple – there are
no rules! Whoever has the most dares completed in three hours, wins. In order for a dare to count,
you must have video proof. Is everyone clear?”
“Yes.” Everyone besides me echoed.
Meanwhile, I asked. “Why do you just have a list of dares prepared and ready to go?”
“I like to be prepared for any occasion.” Lucas beams. “Any other questions?”
When no one else said anything, Lucas took that as a sign to go on. “Alright then.” He smirked. “And
the three hours start – NOW!”
I watched as Lucas ushered Aiden and Cody out of the room, leaving me with Brooke and Caroline
alone in Aiden’s room.
“So, you and Aiden all alone.” Brooke smirked. “In his room.”
Caroline nodded vigorously besides her. “So, did you two finally bang?”
“Caroline! Oh my god!” I replied flabbergasted. “Never say that again.”
“What?” Caroline asked innocently. “Anyone who sees the two of you together can tell that boy is
head over heels in love with you. And don’t even get me started on the unresolved sexual tension.”
“Head over heels in love, my ass!” I scoffed. “He’s sleeping with Victoria for fucks sake. The only thing Aiden is, is a good friend.”

“Let me ask you this,” Caroline countered. “If he wasn’t sleeping with Victoria, would you be saying
the same thing? Because I don’t know about you Nat, but I sure as hell don’t have anyone calling me princess, standing up for me all the time, and shooting daggers at anyone that so much as looks at me the wrong way.”
“Luckily, I don’t have to answer that because he is in fact sleeping with Victoria and this
conversation is pointless.”
“You’re impossible!” Caroline exclaimed throwing her hands up.
“Enough!” Brooke shouted. “Tonight is supposed to be about having fun, not you two bickering like
an old married couple.”
“She started it.” I mumbled. I love Caroline to death, but she and I butt heads quite a bit. She’s very opinionated, and not afraid to say what’s on her mind. She can also come off a bit pushy, even though her intentions are good. This isn’t the first time that she’s made snide comments about Aiden
and I, but it is the first time I had to burst her bubble.
As much as I wanted what she said to be true, I knew deep down it wasn’t and that Aiden and I were nothing more than just friends.
He’s just a naturally flirty person, which can give off the wrong impression.
Caroline rolled her eyes at me before picking up the list of dares Lucas gave to all of us. While she scanned the paper, no doubt deciding which crazy item she was going to pick first, I too scanned the room for my laptop and backpack. I vaguely remember still being on my laptop when I must have
drifted off.
After a quick scan around the room, I saw that it was sitting on Aiden’s desk. I went over to grab it and put it in my bag so that I wouldn’t forget it later. Sadly, my entire life is on that computer.
