THEY SAID I WAS SICK 6

Chapter

“You PROMISED you’d listen to me and never go in there! And what about the date you were supposed to go on with me? Did you just forget all that?!

1 screamed like a freaking wild animal, and Dad’s face went bright redhe was practically steaming

Mom snapped at my shout, chucking her chopsticks right at my face

“Would you SHUT UP?! Nobody went into that damn study! And with your attitude, you think anyone would marry you? Keep this up and I’ll have your father strangle you right heresave men everywhere from having to deal with your bullshit!]

My mom was completely changed now. Just like everyone else around me, she was obsessed with keeping me from dating or getting married. The second I disobeyed, they wanted me dead

If I hadn’t figured it out before, I was certain nowMom had been in that strange study too

There’s no other explanation. The kind, gentle woman who raised me would never scream at me like this

My sister and her husband came through dressed to go out, ready for a fun day.[

They walked through the living room, saw me bleeding all over the place, and didn’t even flinchjust coldly walked past like I was nothing but trash on the sidewalk

Dad’s fists and feet were like a damn hurricane. I curled up tight, each blow slamming into me like a hammerright in the gut, the back, everywhere. My vision went fuzzy, and cold sweat just poured off me.[]

Only when he’d satisfied his rage did he finally stop

Mom practically draped herself over Dad, wearing this gross flirty smirk, and then they justwent into their room together. Disgusting

My body and mind were both completely wrecked.[

What made it worse? 1 had no freaking clue why any of this was happening

I’m just a normal girlwhy can’t I date and get married like everyone else my age?

It was the middle of summer, but I felt icecold to my core.[

Now even Mom had abandoned me. If I stayed in this house any longer, they’d torture me to death.[]

That night, I stuffed my important documents into my backpack, planning to bolt the second

But when I crept through the living room at

yone fell asleep

under the study doors

I peeked through the door crack and saw Dad hunched over his desk, wearing this terrifying sinileso wide his cheeks were practically touching his ears. It was messed up

I froze, feeling like someone had dumped a bucket of ice water down my spine.[

Now I finally understood why Dad wouldn’t let me date or get married![

Before I could run, Dad caught me

He beat me until I thought I’d die, snatching away all my documents.

He beat the hell out of me like a man possessed, his eyes burning with pure hategenuinely thought he’d kill me.[

I’m going to beat you to death, you little animal![

You worthless slut! Ill teach you to run! Il teach you to disobey!

I floated like a piece of paper as he tossed me around, my entire body burning with pain, no hope left, none at all.[

Yet, the ache in my chest hurt way more than any of the wounds he gave me. How’s that even fair?{

The sounds of the beating rang through the house, My sister and her husband came sprinting out, thinking burglars had broken in.

When they saw it was just me getting beaten, they both visibly relaxed.[

They just stood there, staring at me with so much hateit was like I didn’t even exist to them.

Chapter

If I begged them for help now, they’d ignore me just like they always did.[

I was beyond desperate

So I just lay there, spreadeagle on the floor, letting Dad’s fists crash into my body without making a sound.[

I bit my lip as tears streamed down my face

Dad, if you want me dead so badly, why don’t you just finish the job?”

My words seemed to shock him for a second, but then he went right back to his savage beating

Just before I blacked out completely, I saw my sister and her husband pointing at me, laughing so hard they were clutching their stomachs with tears in their eyes

Their lips moved with pure malice.

They even kicked my head, saying how great it would be if I diedthen I’d never think about getting married again.]]
