Stellar was momentarily confused.
“Who else do you think I should’ve invited?”
Suzy’s eyes flickered mischievously before she cleared her throat.
“Well… your uncle rarely comes to visit. You can’t just enjoy yourself and forget to entertain your elders, right?”
Stellar was confused.
She studied Suzy’s expression for a moment before suddenly sucking in a sharp breath..
“Wait a minute, you’re not saying you have a thing for my uncle, are you? You want to be my aunt?”
Caught red–handed, Suzy didn’t even bother pretending to be embarrassed.
Instead, she shamelessly admitted it.
“Come on, you know your uncle is ridiculously handsome. And you know me–when I see a good–looking man, I can’t help but be tempted. So… are you calling him or not?”
She even threw in a playful pout at the end.
Watching a woman as stunning and seductive as Suzy act coy sent a wave of chills down Stellar’s spine.
“Alright, alright,” she relented quickly. “I’ll call him, but I’m not guaranteeing anything.”
Suzy’s eyes immediately lit up with excitement.
Pulling out her phone, Stellar called Claude.
“Uncle Claude, are you free right now? I’m out with a friend–want to join us?”
“Sorry, Stellar, I have a video conference with an international client coming up. I really can’t make it this time. How about I take you out another day?”
His voice carried the same indulgent tone he always used with her, as if he were coaxing a child.
Stellar sighed. “Alright, no problem. If you’re busy, I won’t push it.”
“Just don’t stay out too late, and be careful, alright?” Claude reminded her a few more times before hanging up.
As soon as Stellar put her phone away, she turned and met a pair of utterly disappointed eyes.
“He’s really
really swamped lately,” she said, offering a small consolation.
Suzy downed a glass of liquor in one swift motion, then suddenly stood up.
Her long, silky hair cascaded down her back as she tossed it over her shoulder, regaining her usual vibrant energy.
“Come on, let’s hit the dance floor! I just got my heart broken. I need to find a hot guy to heal my wounds.”
Stellar was momentarily speechless.
Before she could even respond, Suzy had already grabbed her hand and dragged her onto the dance floor.
The heavy bass of the music pulsed through the room as the crowd moved in sync with the beat.
Suzy swayed effortlessly, quickly finding herself dancing with an attractive stranger, their chemistry sparking instantly.
Watching them, Stellar chuckled and thought, “Well, if you can’t beat them, join them.”

His expression darkened instantly when he saw Stellar being approached by the muscular guy.
Without hesitation, he set his drink down and strode over.
Just as the man was about to push further, Percy reached out, grabbed Stellar’s wrist, and pulled her behind him protectively.
His voice was sharp and commanding.
“Back off! She’s my woman!”
The man’s expression immediately soured.
He opened his mouth to retort, but when his eyes flicked to the group of men standing behind Percy, he thought better of it.
Clicking his tongue in annoyance, he turned and walked away.
“You can let go now.”
Stellar’s cool voice rang out from behind him.
Percy turned to face her, taking in the sight of her radiant, dazzling presence under the club lights.
