Living alone in a foreign country might have seemed lonely, but it wasn’t. Instead, she felt at peace, as if this was the life she had
always been meant to live.
She stayed up until the early hours of the morning and slept in late, only heading to the coffee shop in the afternoon to open.
By then, a crowd had already gathered outside, waiting for her.
“Boss, why are you so late today?”
“Yeah, we’ve been craving your coffee!”
Nicole stuck out her tongue playfully “just slept in ”
She grabbed the keys and unlocked the door

Suddenly, someone gasped loudly.
“oh
my, there’s someone lying here! He’s practically frozen stiff.”
Nicole paused, pushed the door open, and turned back to step into the crowd.
When Nicole saw Tristan lying unconscious in the snow, her brows furrowed deeply.
He truly was relentless. She had only been here a few days, and yet he had found her.
Why couldn’t he leave her alone, even after she’d gone to such lengths to hide?
Tristan had always been stubborn. If others couldn’t achieve something, he would stop at nothing to make it happen.
He promised never to let Nicole leave him, and he meant it. That was why Nicole had faked her death to escape from him. But
even now, he continued to cling to her.
She remembered that winter during their first year together. They had a fight, and he stood outside her apartment all night in the freezing cold. By morning, he was nearly frozen.
Her parents, moved by pity, invited him inside to warm up. Eventually, Nicole was touched as well and couldn’t stay mad at him
any longer,
But seeing him again today stirred none of the warmth she once felt. Instead, all she could muster was disgust and frustration.
“What should we do, Miss Snow?”
Nicole’s face was icy. “Take him to the hospital.”
“It might be too late for that, boss. Why not let him come in to warm up?”
Before Nicole could refuse, someone had already carried him inside, turned on the heater, and helped him recover from the cold.
Nicole sighed, resigned, and returned to the counter to start her work for the day.
The rich aroma of coffee filled the air, and slowly, Tristan began to stir awake.
