“Tristan, why did you push me? It hurts so much! My hand’s even bleeding!”
She looked up at him, tears streaming down her face, her expression one of helplessness. Stretching out a hand, she hoped Tristan would help her up.
But Tristan simply stared at her coldly. He slowly crouched down to her level, his voice icy as he said, “Did you not understand what I said? I told you never to show up in front of me again.”
“Tristan, you must be joking.”

Lisa looked at him in disbelief. “I’ve been with you for two years, and now you’re telling
me to stay out of your life?”
“How much do you want?”
Tristan pulled out a check and slapped it against her face.
“Here’s one million dollars. Take the money and disappear from my life for good!!
“Tristan, what are you saying?”
Lisa clung to his pant leg, tears streaming down her face. “You can’t do this to me! Have you forgotten how much we loved each
other? Nicole was always in the way, wasn’t she?
“She’s gone now–no one can keep us apart anymore! If you’re worried being with me will damage your reputation, I’ll call a press conference myself. I’ll tell everyone it was all my fault, that I seduced you, and you have done nothing wrong!”
“Enough!”
Tristan yanked his leg free from her grasp. “Who do you think you are? The only person I’ve ever loved is Nicky. You’ve been nothing but a toy to me from the beginning!”
Lisa refused to believe it. Staggering to her feet, she clung to her last shred of hope. “Tristan, I know you’re not ready to accept Nicole’s death, but I have good news for you–I’m pregnant. I’m carrying your child!”
She grabbed his hand and placed it over her stomach.
“Let’s get married, Tristan. We’ll be so happy together, the three of us as a family.”
“You’re saying you’re carrying my child?” Tristan’s gaze grew even colder. “I always made sure you took the pill. How could you
be pregnant?”
“… I forgot to take it once,” Lisa muttered, lowering her head, guilt flashing in her eyes.
“Get rid of it.”
“What?”

Lisa was in complete shock. Just a few days ago, Tristan hadn’t been like this at all.
On her birthday, he had gone out of his way to give her the best gifts imaginable. How could he turn around and treat her like this
