Back home, I immediately checked social media. As expected, the Holmes family drama had taken over Twitter’s trending topics.
#HolmesGoldDigger Rejects Daughter, #HolmesFakeHeiress, #FakeHeiressExposed, #RissasHomecomingStruggle–the hashtags were endless, and almost all were on my side.
The comments were also absolutely wild.
Someone commented, “Holy shit! This drama is better than any soap opera! These rich families are brutal!”
“Poor Rissa! Can’t even go back to her own home–I would’ve broken down!”
“Nancy’s such a fake! She wants to be an actress? Well, I’m officially her first hater!”
“But Rissa’s comeback was amazing! That’s how a real star handles things!”
Reading these comments, I couldn’t help but laugh. Peter and his little family had really managed to anger the media this time.
Over the next few days, the Holmes family scandal continued to snowball. First, Nancy’s past scandals were dug up. Everything
from high school bullying to plastic surgery rumors and questionable relationships came to light.
Then, Holmes Group’s stocks started plummeting, with business partners canceling contracts left and right, leaving Peter
scrambling to contain the damage.
Meanwhile, I was relaxing at home, enjoying Grandma’s homemade cookies while watching the Holmes family’s world crumble.
Mom’s “arrangement” for Nancy also came through right on schedule.
Nancy got her wish for a role, but she was cast as a minor maid instead of the lead role she had expected. On the first day of
filming, she strutted in like she owned the place, criticizing everyone.
She snapped at the makeup artist, “Does this makeup even look good? Do you really think it suits me?”
Her criticism was endless. “What garbage are you putting on my face? My skin is very sensitive!”
“These costumes are wrinkled! I’m a wealthy heiress. How dare you treat me like this?”
When she saw my elaborate costume, she completely lost it. “I want her outfit! I won’t act unless I get it!”
