Chapter 113
Suzy caught up
with Stellar, glancing at the tall man beside her before lower voice.
“So… this Mr. Rivers is really your uncle?”
He was undeniably handsome, young even, but his aura was commanding, exuding an authority that couldn’t be ignored.
One look, and it was obvious that this was a man of power.
And he definitely wasn’t the type who’d dare pretend to be the head of the Rivers family.
“As real as it gets,” Stellar said, a hint of pride in her voice.
Then, as if remembering something, she turned to Suzy apologetically. “I wasn’t trying to keep it from you, I just hadn’t officiall returned to the Rivers family yet. I planned to tell you once I did.”
Suzy waved off her concern without a second thought.
With a sudden clap of her hands, she grinned.
“Are
you kidding? With a family like this, you should’ve brought them out sooner! Watching those idiots eat their words would’v
been so satisfying.”
Stellar was speechless.
Before she could say anything, Claude nodded in agreement.
“She’s right. They should’ve been put in their place long ago.
Stellar exhaled a breathless laugh, tinged with a sigh.
She knew both of them meant well, genuinely looking out for her.
So, she didn’t argue.
Satisfied that Stellar was now safe, Suzy didn’t linger.
She gave a quick excuse and took off, giving them space.
Once they were alone, Claude turned to Stellar, his gaze softening with guilt.
“I’m sorry, Stellar. I should’ve come sooner. You’ve suffered far too much because of us.”
The moment he had learned about her being kidnapped as a child and sent to the mountains, his blood had boiled with rage.
If Yvonne hadn’t already been taken by the police, he would’ve personally dealt with her.
Warmth spread through Stellar’s heart.

“Uncle Claude, you’re not late at all. Thank you for standing up for me.”
This feeling of being cared for and protected–was something she had long forgotten.
–
As for revealing her true identity, she had already made up her mind.
Now that the truth was out, there was no point in hiding it anymore.
She would be returning to Southport soon.
Claude, watching the quiet obedience in her expression, only felt his heart twist with more guilt.
The hardships she had endured were beyond what most could imagine.
Yet, she never once complained.
How could anyone not feel protective of a child like this?
“Stellar, there’s no need to stay in this miserable place any longer. Come home with me to the Rivers family in Southport.”
Stellar’s throat tightened, her eyes stinging slightly, but she still shook her head.
“Not yet, Uncle Claude. I have ongoing research projects at school, and I need to finish them first. I’ll visit next weekend. It’s Grandpa’s birthday, and my gift should be ready by then.”
Claude’s heart clenched at her words.
She had even prepared a gift for her grandfather?
“Good girl. I’m sure he and mom
Stellar smiled.
will love it ”
The two of them headed back to the villa together.
Π
As soon as they stepped inside, Mary greeted them with a bright smile.
“Mr. Claude, Miss Stellar, you’re back together!”
She ushered them into the living room and quickly brought over freshly brewed tea.
Claude nodded at her gratefully. “Mary, thank you for taking care of Stellar all this time.”
“It’s no trouble at all,” Mary said, waving him off.
As if she had finally found the perfect opportunity, she launched into an enthusiastic rant.
“Miss Stellar is the sweetest, most thoughtful girl! She never lets me do all the work alone. She’s always helping, always worrying
I’ll get too tired.”
“She even cooks! And look…….”

Mary tilted her head forward to show off the elegant hairpin nestled in her bun. “She made this for me herself!”
Claude’s gaze landed on the hairpin, its craftsmanship delicate and intricate.
His admiration deepened
“Our Stellar is incredibly talented.”
Mary wasn’t done.
“And that’s not all! She’s been learning self–defense from me. She picks up techniques in no time!
“Honestly, I’ve never seen anyone so naturally gifted. It’s like she was born for it!”
Her praise flowed endlessly, almost exaggerated but Claude knew better.
If even half of it was true, his niece was an absolute prodigy.
