sudden rush of wind came from behind.

Suzy noticed the attack, but it was too late to stop it.

She turned around, eyes widening slightly in surprise to see Jonathan.
“Jonathan, what the hell are you doing?!”
Pauline stared at her brother in shock, unable to believe what she was seeing.
“Calm down, Pauline,” Jonathan said firmly, his gaze heavy as he tried to soothe her.
Then, he turned to Stellar, his expression strangely conflicted.
“Stellar… are you okay?”
His voice carried a hint of concern, but she wasn’t fooled.
Jonathan had never shown her an ounce of kindness before.
Every time they crossed paths, his attitude had been cold and dismissive.
And now he was suddenly worried about her?
Sure enough, before she could respond, he spoke again.
“Stellar, we were family for eighteen years. No matter what, that connection doesn’t just disappear.
“Can’t you let this go? For the sake of everything Yvonne went through and everything she suffered in your place?”

“Suffered in my place? Are you serious?”
She stepped forward, her voice cutting like a blade.
“She went through hardships because she was swapped at birth. That had nothing to do with me.

“If you hadn’t been swapped, you’d still be some nobody from a backwater town–you would have never set foot in a city like
this, never received an elite education, and never achieved the success you have now.
“We’re not asking you to repay us. Just drop the lawsuit against Yvonne. She’s not that cruel. This has nothing to do with her!”
His tone was unwavering, full of certainty.
Stellar couldn’t be bothered to explain her true identity.
Her gaze turned icy as she shot back with sharp sarcasm.
“You say she had nothing to do with it. So, are you admitting it was you instead?”
Jonathan’s expression shifted instantly, his eyes darkening with a sharp edge.
“What the hell is that supposed to mean?”
Stellar paused, briefly surprised by his intense reaction.
What was with the overreaction?
But she didn’t dwell on it.
Instead, she simply stated, “I was the one who suffered. No one else gets to forgive on my behalf.”
With that, she turned away, no longer sparing him a glance as she prepared to leave.
“Stop right there!”
Jonathan’s patience finally snapped.
“You walk out that door now, and from this moment on, you have no family.”
Stellar let out a soft, mocking laugh.
Lifting her head, she glanced at him, then at the furious faces of Jerome and Pauline.
Her voice was firm, unwavering. “With family like you, I’m better off alone. And who said…”
Before she could finish, the doors to the banquet hall swung open with force.
A deep, commanding voice rang out.

“Who said my Stellar doesn’t have family?”
Everyone turned in shock.
Claude strode in with long, purposeful strides, heading straight for Stellar.
“I am her family. She’s a Rivers, and she has plenty of people in our family who stand behind her!”
The moment Claude got word of the situation, he rushed over only to arrive a step too late.
His blood boiled when he walked in just in time to hear Jonathan’s ridiculous accusations.
How dare these people to bully Stellar?
They were as good as dead.
Claude was strikingly handsome, tall and commanding in a custom–tailored suit.

The moment he stepped in, the entire hall fell silent in shock.
