“I’m just excited Think about it–you almost let your talent go to waste! Luckily, you came to your senses.
“Don’t worry, I’ll personally help you apply for a patent on this research. The world needs to know that this achievement belongs
to you.”
Though the project was a team effort, Stellar was undoubtedly the driving force behind it.
She had led the entire process from start to finish.
Victor’s enthusiasm was unmistakable–he truly cherished and valued talent.
Stellar felt a wave of emotion swell in her chest.
“Thank you, Professor. This time, I won’t let you down.”
This newly developed material was exactly what she promised for Shane’s project enhancement.
With the results in hand, the contract negotiations should be finalized soon.
Early the next morning, Stellar called Shane and arranged to meet at the Brighton Group’s office.
During the meeting, she provided him with a portion of the material.
Though the patent application was still in progress, the feasibility of the CM material upgrade was already confirmed, with a
guaranteed success rate.
Shane looked at her with open admiration.
“Miss Rivers, I’ll admit–I used to think you were all talk, and I underestimated you. But now, I sincerely apologize.
“Your talent speaks for itself. Handing this project over to Riverside Corporation puts my mind at ease completely.”
“You’re too kind, Mr. Howe. It’s understandable that you didn’t trust me before. We had no prior understanding of each other.
Cooperation is built on results. I look forward to working together.”
Her expression was composed as she extended a hand toward him
”
“To a successful partnership,” Shane said, shaking her hand firmly.
Then, as if something had just crossed his mind, a glimmer of amusement flickered in his eyes.
“That being said, let me make it up to you for almost overlooking your talent. How about dinner tonight–if you’re willing to
humor me?”
His tone was relaxed, with a hint of teasing, though clearly well–intended.

Since he had already extended the invitation so openly, Stellar saw no reason to refuse.
“Then I’ll graciously accept.”
She smiled brightly, pleased with the successful deal.
Watching her smile, Shane felt his heartbeat quicken for a moment.
Stellar wasn’t just talented–her looks were exactly his type too…
Perhaps tonight’s dinner could be more than just a business meal.
If things went well, there might be an opportunity to take things further.
The thought put him in an even better mood.
“Let’s go, Miss Rivers.”
Stellar followed Shane to the elevator, waiting to go downstairs.
At that very moment, Stephen happened to step
Fen out
of another elevator.
Just as the doors of the descending elevator were closing, he caught a glimpse of a familiar figure inside.
He instinctively paused, about to take a closer look, but the doors shut before he could confirm it.
“Mr. Ward, is something wrong?” his assistant asked.
Stephen shook his head. “It’s nothing.”
It had to be a mistake.
What would Stellar be doing at Brighton Group?
