Then, suddenly, he laughed. It was a bitter and hollow laugh that brought tears to his eyes.
“My child? Hahaha!”
Everyone looked at him in confusion as Caleb pointed first at Yvette and then at the baby. “Yvette didn’t dare tell you all the truth.
Her child is the real fatherless one!”
With that, he stepped toward Frank. His gaze locked onto the swaddled infant, burning with hatred.
Yvette’s heart skipped a beat. Panic flared in her eyes as she yanked the baby into her arms before retreating behind Patricia.
“Yvette, weren’t you always so good at playing the innocent and clinging to me like I was your everything? Yet, now you’re
scared? Ha!” Caleb growled.
Then, his voice thundered through the room.
“Open your eyes! Look at that kid. Does a bastard like him deserve to be compared to my son? Yvette’s nothing but a whore–she slept around so much she doesn’t even know who the father is. So she pinned the blame on me. And I was a damn fool to let her
use me!”
Caleb walked to Frank, and his bloodshot eyes were brimming with rage.
“Dad, the kid you’re treating like a treasure? He’s not even mine! The baby Natalie was forced to abort was my real child!”
In an instant, the room fell deathly silent.
Patricia and Albert felt humiliated, so they grabbed Yvette and stormed out without a word.
But Grace suddenly recalled my words outside the operating room that day.

In her eyes, I had done it on purpose. I had kept the truth from them and intentionally let them destroy the Lawson family’s true
heir.
Unable to accept the reality, Grace’s eyes rolled back as she collapsed to the floor in a dead faint.
Caleb watched their anguish with cold indifference. He didn’t say a word and just let out a bitter smile.
He knew it now–this was his retribution.
